1984 Ayrton Senna, 1:2 Half Scale Helmet
Ayrton Senna da Silva was a Brazilian racing driver who won three Formula One world championships for McLaren in 1988, 1990 and 1991, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest Formula One drivers of all time. Ayrton made his Formula 1 debut in 1984 for Toleman, scoring a second place finish in a rain soaked Monaco Grand Prix, a race he probably would have won had it not been stopped on lap 31.
His first F1 helmet is the purest. Designed by Sid Mosca; a yellow background with a green stripe surrounding the upper visor and a light metallic blue stripe surrounding the lower visor (both stripes are delineated in the other stripe's color) that was first seen in 1979; Mosca also painted helmets for Emerson Fittipaldi and Nelson Piquet. According to Mosca, the three colors were identifiable with the Flag of Brazil.
This official Bell Sports Mini Line half-scale replica is in near mint condition (please inspect the photos closely as this is the helmet you are purchasing, if you require further photos or have questions, let us know, this is how the helmet arrived from the factory, it has only been out of the box to be photographed, never displayed and kept away from direct sunlight), features the correct light brown interior, has had the correct Marlboro vinyl conversion above the visor and comes in the correct Senna Foundation box. It doesn't get any better.
