Porsche 804 F1, winner French GP, signed Dan Gurney
The Porsche 804 is a single-seat, racing car produced by Porsche to compete in Formula One, for a single season in 1962 in the 1½ litre formula. It remains the only Formula 1 winning Porsche designed and built racing car.
The 1962 French Grand Prix was held at Rouen-Les-Essarts, Dan Gurney qualified his 804 in sixth place, and Bonnier's sat ninth. Gurney won the race with an average speed of 163.98 km/h (101.89 mph), having lapped Tony Maggs' second-place Cooper. A week later, Gurney and Bonnier drove their 804s in the 1962 Solitude Grand Prix at the Solitude track near Stuttgart. In this non-World-Championship event, Gurney led from start to finish, and Bonnier finished second.
