Driven by Alain Prost and Nigel Mansell, it won six Grands Prix. Partnered by reigning World Champion Alain Prost, the car continued to be unreliable and Nigel managed a single win in the season, retiring only to be enticed back by Frank Williams for 1991 and on to World Championship victory the following year.
